Design and Develop Complex Text Documents
For the case study the learner will complete the following assessment.
The case study is a stand-alone activity that is assessed separately to the activities that form the evidence portfolio. The case study will allow the learner to display required knowledge and skills that are essential when contextualizing overall competency.
For this assessment you must complete the following case study.
Scenario:
You are a department Manager at Fast-Forward Sporting Store. You are responsible for all sporting goods associated with water (body boarding, swimming, scuba, pool games etc.). Christmas is approaching and the store is busy. The general manager of the store asks you to design documents to be used in the workplace
- You have been requested by your manager to design a new template for the minutes of staff meetings at Fast-Forward Sporting Store. In this you are to create form fields, columns, heading, footers and any other items required in a meeting minute’s template.
- Design a promotional brochure/flyer (1 or 2 A4 pages in length) to be given to customers in Early December which will explain the special deal/discounts etc. on prices of water sporting goods for Christmas. Information to be included in the handout should be for a minimum of 3, and maximum of 10 products in the store, and be presented with a table included in the document as well as text explaining the specials .
Brochure/flyer needs to look professional, and may be produced using Word (with appropriate formatting and layout) or other software packages.
Ensure you add in logos and your company address and contact number in your brochure/flyer and your meeting minute template.
These documents can be created in separate files.
