ADHP 5701 Secondary Research Methods
Assignment 1 brief
3,000 word Secondary Research Report
Secondary research is the foundation of your final major project to help you understand what is currently happening in your chosen research area. You are required to write a 3,000 word fully referenced report using the Harvard system on your research main subject area or a specific topic from that area agreed with your tutor. Written in report format, it should be an examination and discussion of the secondary sources in the field of Design Management, Fashion Management or Fashion and Textiles or Textile Technology depending on your main subject discipline.
You should give a definition of the key terms used in the subject and aim to give your own unique perspective and analysis of the subject based on secondary sources, which you can apply to the remainder of the course. You should gather your research material through appropriate secondary sources and critically evaluate those sources. You may wish to include some appropriate illustrations and images correctly referenced.
You may include additional relevant information in appendices. You should include a full bibliography in the Harvard format. You will need to submit one full electronic copy via the Turn it in link in the Blackboard module shell. You may submit one hard copy if you wish. You will be able to upload your report before the deadline to check your referencing.
The word limit for the main body of the report is 3,000 words, + or – 10%.
Submission of assignment will be electronically via Turn it in: By 5pm Friday 13 December 2019 at the end of week 11.
