Assignment Project: Infrastructure Survey
For your final project, you will provide your chosen community’s Emergency Management officials with a report outlining information on threats and hazards, critical infrastructure, demographics and identifying planning representatives, they will need to create and complete a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP). Your final CEMP research report will require several steps in order to complete it.
For Part I of your Final Project, you will research the threats and hazards for your community. You will then identify the type of format your plan will utilize based on those threats and hazards.
To complete this assignment, you will:
- Identify and analyze your community’s threats and hazards. Please see the Conducting a Risk Analysis template below.
- Identify if they are Natural, Technological or Human-Caused. (See FEMA Multi-Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Guide) (Links to an external site.)

- Identify if they are publicly or privately owned.
- Identify the type of planning format that you will use. (See the Comprehensive Preparedness Guide 101 (CPG-101). (Links to an external site.)
Once you have gathered your research, you will need to evaluate the risk of the critical infrastructure in your community. Use the attached template to help you grade the risk of each and place a value of the overall risk.
