Here are some questions you can use to break down/respond to the case posted on virtual campus.
- List at least two metaphors from our text that help to describe the situation in the case. Describe how.
- What does the case suggest about the responsibility of managers/leaders in the organization both in how the problem has come about and how it is to be remedied. Particularly, how can leaders/managers set the proper communications tone here?
- What are the key communication issues?
- How would you describe the lines (channels) of communication?

- How do we see power playing out?
- Are the roles clear? Should they be changed?
- What about symbols? Symbolic behaviour?
