Data Privacy: Class Project Summary
MCY 620 (Data Privacy): Class Project Summary – Overview & Requirements
Each student is required to write a research paper based on a Data Privacy topic (or sub-topic). It is up to each student to find/choose a data privacy topic (or sub-topic). There will be two deliverables that you will be required to submit, as part of this class project, as listed below:
Project Deliverable 1 [75 Points]: Proposed Paper Info and Outline Summary – this first deliverable will have to be a document (in either MS Word or PDF) of at least 2 pages (in standard IEEE conference paper format), where you will include your chosen data privacy topic (or sub-topic) for exploration, and an overall summary of the information you intend to include in your paper. The course instructor will review this submitted document from each student and provide feedback plus input, along with the instructor’s approval of your project plans. This first project deliverable will be due by or on Sunday, Jan 28 midnight USA ET (more detailed information and specifics, including grading rubric, of this project assignment part 1 are available on Canvas).
Project Deliverable 2 [150 Points]: Full and Final Research Paper – this second deliverable will be the actual research paper itself (in either MS Word or PDF format) of at least 6 pages (in standard IEEE conference paper format). This second project deliverable will be due by or on Sunday, Feb 18 midnight USA ET (more detailed information and specifics, including grading rubric, of this project assignment part 2 are available on Canvas).
For your reference and guidance, a recently published IEEE conference research paper on a sample data privacy topic (authored by the course instructor) is provided on Canvas as an example paper to refer to. The IEEE standard research paper template is available online at: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
