Objectives

  1. define diversity as it relates to the workplace
  2. explain the value that diversity adds to the workplace
  3. articulate personal understanding of the term “social construction,” especially as it relates to race and gender
  4. discuss thought processes related to stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination, and theories related to diversity in organizations
  5. explain what organizations can do to promote diversity and inclusion, based on the knowledge of the reasons for differential treatment, experiences, and outcomes for different demographic groups

Demonstrate that you have met these objectives by explaining a topic or concept that you learned about each objective as a result of the assignments or activities presented in the module. You should use specific examples from your reading or in real life , the forum discussion, and/or instructional materials presented this week in each response.
