In our workplace, industrial engineering is a critical department tasked with eliminating wastefulness in production processes. The management of our organization has recruited ten (10) industrial engineers who devise efficient strategies to use machines, information, workers, materials, and energy in making a product and in service provision. In our company, it is a requirement that these industrial engineers work on teams with other technicians, production staff, and professionals. The main areas related to industrial and system engineering in our workplace include: product design department, sampling department, production planning and control, financial planning and control, and procurement and quality control areas as explained below.
