Fad Social Entrepreneurship Discussion
Q: To set the stage on this topic we need to first ask the main question of “Is Social Entrepreneurship a Fad?” As defined by Investopedia, “a social entrepreneur is a person who pursues novel applications that have the potential to solve community-based problems. These individuals are willing to take on the risk and effort to create positive changes in society through their initiatives.” This does not have to be on a large, national, or global scale, but could very well apply to local small business owners that are making a difference in their community. In order to give you a better perspective on the potential impact of social entrepreneurship take a look at this video and ask yourself this question…How could a simple product impact the spread of disease in third-world countries?
