Formative Assessment for Using Information in HR

In preparation for your summative assignment, write a short report with headings, sub headings and an ICS Declaration sheet;

You are writing a business report for your line manager at work on an important area of HR that you want to try and improve. She has hinted that it will be submitted to the CEO at the next board meeting. You manager has said that it can be any part of the HR function, but has asked you to write a short literature review on the topic initially.

Your line manager has asked that you look solely at journal articles and text books to do this.

Based upon the literature review that you have completed previously, construct a short critique of the text you have written in the 3rd person.This should provide an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of the research methods that have been adopted by the researchers who wrote the journal articles that you located. Your line manager has also asked if you can identify how the other research you have read and adopted could usefully be applied to your own organisation and what advantages it could bring.

As this is a level 5 submission, please submit all attempts with a Harvard Reference sheet at the back of your document.
Please use a report format which is clear and tidy in around 1350-1500 words.

When doing the assignment please focus on Employees Retention in the finance industry.

1. Title: An investigation into effective Retaining Employees Methods within the finance sector.

2. Aim: The aim of this review is to suggest new ways to improve employee retention in the finance industry.

  • Review the current literature around employee retention methods
  • Identify and review current ERM within the industry
  • Propose new and dynamic ways in which ERM can be used and implemented
  • Review after 12 months and include senior management
