How would you apply the results of a SWOT analysis to create a strategy to modify an organization’s underlying norms, policies and objectives?
S – strength
W – weakness
O – opportunities
T – threats

Since strength and weaknesses are internal focuses, I would take my strengths to see what we are good at and look for further opportunities. I would then look at the weakness ‘to see where we lack as a company and see where and how we can convert those to strengths.
Since opportunities and threats are external focuses, I would look for opportunities that could make a positive change in my policies and objectives. Those opportunities could include watching economic changes, relationship changes and target audiences. I would look at possible threats and identify a possible solution in case they ever occur. Since threats are external, you can’t really plan for them, you just have to be prepared for anything that may happen.
