Executive summary is not a must, but you are expected to clearly and explicitly state in your introduction section (1). What the purpose of the report is (based on the assessment requirement); (2). In a concise and summative manner, which key issues your report addresses (scope) to achieve the stated purpose; (3). How your report is structured, in a meaningful manner

  • Where exactly is this North American PC maker (MNE)? What needs to be considered?

You have to decide, it could be a real-life organization to increase the ‘realness’ of your report, it could be a hypothetical one. In either case, you must specify exactly in which North American countries your MNE is located (e.g., Canada, United States, Mexico etc.) for the purpose of your discussion. No need to justify why, it is just setting up the MNE context for your report. However, where the call center is going to be located constitutes part of your strategy as the IHRM strategist, and requires justification grounded in the course content, backed up with academic references. Then in order to make your call center a success with customers and employees, you need to discuss the design of its key HRM practices (grounded in course content, week 4-8 backed up by academic references) and preferably some other aspects (week 9) that could enhance employee satisfaction and minimize turnover (e.g., To hire employee for the call centre and ensure their happiness, the three categories of Social Accountability 8000 can be a good starting point; Fair and good management practices; Effective strategies for managing employment relations).
