Based on your research and experience, why should a manager be a coach? Use course material and outside sources to support your ideas.
Part 2: Effective Coaching – Week 1 Assignment
You are on a mission to learn what improvements you need to make in your coaching skills. Include a self-evaluation of the coaching attributes you believe you possess and those that you believe to be very effective. Select an individual to be a reflector, for example, someone who has helped you see yourself as others see you (manager, co-worker, for example). What have you learned from this person that will help you improve on your coaching skills? Be sure to include concepts covered in this week’s readings and lectures, combined with outside research to support your interpretation.
The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:
- Write 750 words using Microsoft Word in APA style.
- Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
- Include cover page and reference page.
- At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
- No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
- Use at least two references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
- Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.
