MGNT110 Introduction to Management
Essay Question:
“Identify and explain which decision making model (classical, administrative or political) best describes the approach taken by Woolworths Group during the COVID-19 pandemic. In your essay, use the academic literature to analyse your chosen model and its key assumptions. Justify your answer by using examples from Woolworths to link to your chosen model.”
This essay is a continuation of the research and analysis conducted in Assessments 2 and 3. However, the work will be marked as a stand-alone document.
This assessment uses Woolworths as the same case study as previous assessments for this subject
Essay submission requirements:
The essay question is to be answered in word document format and submitted via TURNITIN on the MGNT110/208 Moodle site. This link is available under the Assessment 4 Part 2 section of Moodle.
Your typed response should be in font size 12 (Times New Roman), and line spacing of 1.5. Include the word count at the end of your essay, underneath the concluding paragraph.
- Do not write a descriptive essay. Avoid copying and pasting large amounts of information from the organisational websites.
- Do not use direct quotes from the textbook, journal articles or the websites. Read the information, interpret the key ideas and use your own voice to paraphrase these key ideas.
- Use a minimum of 6 academic peer-reviewed journal articles and prescribed textbook. Use of company websites and other web-based references are permitted but are in addition to the minimum of 6 journal articles.
- Use the feedback from Assessment 2 and Assessment 3 to improve your work
- We encourage you to keep the overall Turnitin similarity score to less than 20% (and less than 2% from each source). Generally, students who copy and paste directly from the organisational websites and the textbook are more likely to be identified for academic integrity issues.
