Mobile Advertising – Discussion Questions
Chapter 6, and mobile advertising. After all, apps need to make money, or no one would build them. As the text states, the goal of mobile advertising is to connect sellers to buyers via their mobile devices. It’s so important an entire association has sprung up to help the market develop. I personally dislike ads in my mobile feed, but not enough to pay for the services and skip the ads. I just find them annoying when they pop up in the middle of my article.
Here are your discussion questions for the week:
- Name the four ways that mobile advertising can be placed and compare them in terms of effectiveness, friendliness and ease of creation.
- Discuss the three different types of advertising objectives and give examples of when you would use each of them.
- Find examples of different types of mobile ads named the companies that you found who paid for the ads. Did you find the ads to be effective? Why are why not?
- Give an example of each one of the types of mobile advertising players, by title and company.
