  1. Discuss the ways in which Social Movement Organizations ( SMOs) differ from each other.
  2. When would SMOs have an advantage in being formal, and when informal? When hierarchical, and when egalitarian?
  3. In what ways is transnational or cross-border organizing easier than it might have been, say, 100 years ago? What are some of the difficulties involved in organizing a transnational movement?
