At the end of each unit, I will ask you to write a 3-5 page paper about your thoughts and
considerations around the topic. You are welcome to use first person (I/we/etc) pronouns or not as
you see fit. What I am interested here is how you are thinking about the unit, how you’re thinking
about it in the context of your life as a whole, and what – if any – impact it has had in how you see the
world. Please be honest; I would rather you write an essay strongly disagreeing with something than
giving me a summary of the readings
