Professional Development Plan
Purpose: Professional development is the process of improving and increasing capabilities through education and training opportunities in the workplace, through outside organizations, or through observing others perform their job. PMH-APRNs participate in professional development to learn and apply new knowledge and skills that will improve their clinical performance.

Directions: For this assignment, complete and submit the Professional Development Plan
The form will walk you through the following steps:
- Identify specific areas/competencies you would like to enhance or improve.
- Identify your strengths and talents.
- Identify weaknesses you would like to neutralize.
- Identify development opportunities (What knowledge or skills do you need to enhance)?
- Develop 1 short-term goal (by end of the semester) & 1 long-term goal (1-year post-graduation).
- Identify specific actions you can take to achieve these goals.
- Identify the support needed and/or barriers to overcome.
