Should We Consider Using This Selection Device?
Think of this scenario: several existing warehouse/distribution centers have been experiencing a growing problem with increasing turnover. Analysis of exit interviews for those who have voluntarily left the organization indicate that many of those interviewed felt they were a poor fit for the job they were hired to do.
There is concern that the selection methods used to hire employees for these centers are not adequate to identify employees who would be ‘right’ for these jobs.
One solution that is being considered is the purchase of a standard “Warehouse Center Employee Test” (WCET). You have been asked to evaluate the following concerns:
Is the WCET reliable?
Is the WCET valid?
