Marketing strategies of a company plays a crucial role in the product success and company’s growth. By crafting a better strategy and build one which allows the company to better serve the customer will give an edge to the company among its competitors. The 4Ps marketing (Product, price, place and promotion) mix has become the most widely accepted model. Two other models that have been widely accepted are the 7Ps marketing mix and the 4Cs marketing mix.
One of the components of 4P’s of marketing mix is physical evidence. Physical evidence is the location and environment where the customer purchases and/or consumes the product. It is the environment where the company and customer interact in the exchange of the product. (Rao, S 2019, Oct 25th)
Elements like, location design, equipment used, air quality, lighting, noise, music, employee dress code, parking situation, colors, cutlery, furniture, billing paper, and business card cardstock can play an important role to create the desire environment and experience for the customer.
Ther are two kinds of physical evidence: Peripheral and essential evidence.
Peripheral evidence is possessed as a part of the service purchase which has little or no independent value. For example, movie ticket, bank cheque. They are relatively small and trivial but undoubtedly have an impact on the consumer perception about the quality of service. (UKEssay, Nov 2018)
I am very fond of flight tickets, theme park tickets. They have always impacted me to form the first impression of the company.
Essential evidence represents a prominent element of the service facility and technical facilities without which the service delivery is not possible (Friesner, T. 2014, May 8th). This cannot be given to consumers, except may be on a temporary basis. For example, the building, its size and design, interior layout and decor, logo of the business, which creates an impact on the customer.

In terms of managing physical evidence, an effective physical evidence strategy must be developed. After understanding an organization’s goals and vision thoroughly, a basic service concept must be defined and everybody in the organization should be able to envision the service process, delivery actions, complexity of the process, and the tangible representations of the physical evidence must be through the blueprint and other media. Many portions of the physical evidence, like the service-scape, demands regular modifications and modernizing. Even when the overall vision of a company does not change, the time has a major impact on the physical evidence, and it plays a major part in necessitating a change. Therefore, organizations should regularly modernize the service-scape.

In some organizations, some colleagues are willing to share knowledge and some colleagues are not. It depends on different reasons. For some people who share knowledge with each other is because that they expect they can resolve the complex problem as soon as they can by exchanging knowledge. However, some people withhold knowledge because they do not want their colleagues rely on them frequently. In addition, a learning from Li-Wei and Lin (2013), the availability of knowledge should not be equated with knowledge effectiveness because some knowledge recipient who are not able to absorb new knowledge. The inability will be one of the issues to knowledge transfer. In my personal experience, my colleagues are willing to share their knowledge or experience with each other all the time since they are happy to see if we resolve a complex issue together. I believe that it is because we have a lot of projects to do. Everyone needs help in order to learn and to be able to afford stress. In addition, when the colleagues get inspired because of your experience and knowledge sharing, they will be willing to help you when you are in a hard time. So, it depends on what you think and what you do.
