Assessment 2a: Individual Presentation

  • Your presentation will be marked individually.
  • It represents 30 % of your total mark
  • You may use any available audio visual support
  • The presentation should be between 6.5 -7 minutes. Marks may be deducted if the presentation exceeds 7.5 minutes, or under 6.5 minutes. An additional minute will be allowed in the first student presentation only for purposes of providing an overview of the organisation being studies.
  • You will be marked on content (15 marks) – coverage of the issues, depth of analysis, validity of conclusions, and presentation (15 marks) – ability to engage the audience, structure of the presentation,  quality and appropriateness of the visual aids (if any) etc
  • Note: no notes will be allowed during the presentation. It is evident if presenting online when you are reading from screen or notes etc
  • Please note if you are unable to attend and present your presentation on the due date, you will need to lodge a Special Consideration application and at the Unit Convenor’s /tutor’s discretion of time and date it will be presented.
  • In the course of the session, individuals will be expected to present the underpinning elements of their project during class time. The schedule for these presentations is below. The group needs to decide which members will present which sections. Presentations will be 7 minutes each, and will cover the following topics.
