The Use of Approved Speech-Recognition Systems

The Use of Approved Speech-Recognition Systems

Introduction

In today’s medical digital world, we rely more on the use of approved speech-recognition systems. Due to the rise of dictation errors in EHR clinical documentation, combined with insufficient clinician review, the software purchased should focus on better integrating voice recognition use and review into existing clinical workflows.

Assignment

Analyze how accuracy and clarity should be maintained in edited speech-recognized documents. Elaborate on how errors can occur from dictated clinical documents when speech-recognition software is used. Go a step further and define “contextual content”, providing examples of such occurrences.

Open a blank Word document and compose a research paper project using at least two resources. The paper should be at least two pages in length, double-spaced, with one-inch margins, using Times New Roman font and MLA format with resources cited.
