Thinking and Doing Ethics Discussion

In sports, younger people emulate the major sport stars and consider them as role models (Frank, 2015). Charles Barkley’s quote “I’m not a role model” is unfair for many younger and upcoming sport stars are emulating his successes and want to know what he has done to reach his current status. In the context of the module, virtue ethics of sport stars require that sport stars encourage and motivate younger stars to achieve their focussed goals. Being a major sports star, Charles Barkley must motivate young girls and boys; for they have a considerable effect on their education, values, and selected training objectives in sports (Dunn, George, Churchill, & Spindler, 2017).

Ethics in sport activities requires that sport stars be guided by four key virtues; integrity, respect, fairness, and responsibly
