Trade-Off Analysis Writing Assignment
After reading the text, all course materials and participating in discussion threads assigned to date you are to develop a two to three-page paper that explains the trade-offs that occur in operations and supply chain in the context of a recent purchase.
Processes to follow for writing. Be sure to follow all APA guidelines and review sample APA paper and other writing helps found in Course Information, under “Writing Helps.” You are to follow all APA guidelines, use Times New Roman 12 font.
This paper will have four level 1 Headings (which are explained above in the graph):
Introduction (usually written last and is about two paragraphs long using citations). Introduction would contain a citation from the company of the product or service that you purchased.
Analysis (usually written first) and within contains three APA level 2 headings:
Analysis 1. Your first analysis must have citation at least from the text
Analysis 2. Your second analysis must have citation at least from the text
Analysis 3. Your third analysis must have citation at least from text
Conclusion (usually written after Analysis but before Introduction). Remember not to add any new information in the conclusion.
Reference (this will have at least the text book and one or two other sources like, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, New York Times, ISM [found at ISM.ws], or other business sources, you cannot use Wiki sources or blogs). Also would include citation from company from which you purchased the product or service.
Original poem
Reflect on an incident that has, in some manner, changed the way you see or feel.
Write a poem of 100 to 175 words that reflects how the incident you chose changed or affected you.
Write a shorter poem of 45 words or less that captures the essence of the same incident.
- Submit both selections in one Microsoft® Word document.
- Grammar and punctuation variations are acceptable if they serve the needs of the piece.
- Be sure to double space each of the poems.
Part 2
Imagine for this assignment that you are a literary critic and will be published in a leading literary magazine.
Choose one of the poems from this week’s readings.
Write a 350- to 700-word essay that reflects on what you liked about the poem or what drew you to it.
Consider the following areas in your response:
- Identify common elements, structures, forms, and terminology of the poem.
- Describe the use of imagery, symbolism, and figurative language that the writer used.
- Consider also the central idea and the emotional impact.
