In this topic the student needs to identify an accounting professional working in any organization and conduct an unstructured interview which will cover areas of professional requirement in terms of education requirement, experience requirement, Job profile, and any other relevant areas. The student is required to make a report based on such responses received and also provide with the name, official email id and contact number of the interviewee.

In this topic the student will investigate and write a report on how the accounting process is managed in such real life businesses. The student needs to provide with the name, official id and contact number of the responsible person interviewed.
Essay on any one of the below mentioned fields in accounting: (Topic cannot be repeated by more than 1 student in the class)
- Forensic accounting
- Fiduciary accounting
- Government accounting
Instructions:
- Taking into consideration the restrictions implied in COVID19 pandemic situation the students are required only to collect information through emails and online platforms only.
- For interview purposes students can use online platforms like google meet or Zoom.
- The college neither encourage nor takes the responsibility of those students who will be physically moving around in relation to such assignment.
Required:
A structured essay on the chosen topic will be submitted by the student through E-learning. The students are required to prepare a report on the situation provided to them. Such report should be based purely be based on the students understanding of the given situation and the basic accounting knowledge.
Credit will be given to originality and creativity of writing the summary rather than copying it from the internet sources. It is up to the students to understand and encrypt all the possible information that can be derived on the given topic.
The assignment will be submitted with:
- A cover page providing the details of the student and section
- A content page
- The essay or report consisting of Introduction, Discussion and Conclusion
Assessment Criteria:
Essay will be marked for 5 marks and presentation will be marked for 2 marks
Marking will take into account the following criteria:
- Choice, Understanding, Quality and Clarity of discussion
- Overall structure
- Conclusion
Length, Format and submission details:
- The essay / report should be minimum 800 words and should not exceed 1,200 words in total. The essay needs to be typed in times roman font size 12 with double line spacing.
