Completing your Assignment
You are required to produce an individual report about an airport’s strategic plan, describing and explaining one specific phase of the airport’s masterplan.
An airport in the UK will be assigned to you.
You must present and explain one among 5 topics of a Strategic Plan, outlining in your report the links between your part of the Strategic Plan and Other parts of the Plan.
Your report must describe and explain the rational of your specific area of the airport’s Masterplan
You must choose among one of the five following topics:
- General introduction on the airport today and its Strategic Plan
- Airport traffic forecasts
- Airport land-use (on-site and off-site)
- Airport environmental impacts
- Airport Economic impacts
Instructions
- The word count for this assessment is 1,200 words, + or – 10%.
- The report should be uploaded on EMA by 10 am on the deadline date
- Late submission will not be accepted or marked.
- This coursework is subject to University Regulations, attention is particularly drawn to the regulations on late submission, CAAS and plagiarism.
It is recommended that your report complies with the following structure:
- Title page: to include unit name, unit code, the title of your report, your name, and your student number. It could also include a photo for attractiveness and appeal.
- Contents page (table of contents): a list of the sections and sub-sections (if applicable) of your report. For example, 1.0 Introduction, 2.0 Description of your masterplan subject
- Introduction: a brief outline of your report’s contents and scene-setting material. It is crucial that you keep this succinct yet informative.
- Part 1 describes the plans of the airport for your specific topic
- Part 2 explains the rational of your specific area of the plan
- Part 3 emphasizes the links between your part of the plan and the other 4 parts
- Conclusion summarising your main findings
- List of references: please refer to the section below
- Appendices: It might be sensible to put your core description and analysis into the main body and supplementary analysis into an appendix.
In the appendix, you may put all the graphs and illustrations that would support your description and explanation.
