Academic Service Learning Reflections
The purpose of the reflection paper is to share the connection between the service experience and the teaching/learning objective. The goals of service learning are to:
- enhance classroom learning
- meet community needs
- foster civic responsibility/civic engagement.
Paper
- Submit a 2-3 page paper on your two selected course objectives (my two selected course objectives are: 1.7 applies goal-directed processes involved in the transmission and assimilation of information… and 3.4 Analyze and implement patient health and safety goals…)
- The highest potential points for your Service Learning Reflection are 10-points. See sample reflection paper attached and ASL Grading Rubric for details.
- The paper should follow APA format in reference to the use of headings, font, spacing, references, etc. Paper must be plagiarism free.
The service learning experience was provided virtually via zoom meeting in the morning February 10th. The audience is nursing students that who are about to graduate with an ASN degree and enter the nursing field. The topic involved the two course objectives listed above 1.7 and 3.4 in regards to protecting yourself from Covid-19. The Academic service learning reflection is NOT about Covid-19 so please do not make the paper focusing on this solely, it is NOT the main idea. The main idea is listed above where it says:
