You have been asked to deliver a high level assessment of the supply chain design for a major international firm. You may select one of 500 fortune companies in 2019. Please see the attached list link (https://fortune.com/global500/2019/search/).
Step 1: Assess your selected firm’s supply chain. Collate information regarding:
- Main products and/or services
- How would you categorise these goods and services using Fisher’s framework?
- Is the supply chain designed using primarily push or pull principles?
- What are the main logistic drivers of the supply chain design?
Step 2: Report on any mismatches between the theories of supply chain design you have studied so far and the operation of this supply chain.
Step 3: Synthesise your analysis and conclusions as a proposal to the supply chain executives and board.
