Assignment 4 – Job Posting and Recruitment

This assignment relates to the following Course Learning Requirements:

  • CLR #1 – Apply recruitment and selection theories and best practices within an organization

Objective of this Assignment:    

  • To design a job posting for your current job that will attract top candidates by clearly conveying the requirements of the position as well as a strong employment brand and further, to determine the most effective means to promote the vacancy.

Instructions:

Step 1.

  1. Use the job description you created from assignment 2 to form your job posting.

Note the following:

  • The job posting, including the overall “look and feel” must be representative of the organizational culture you are trying to convey.
  • The job posting must meet all of the legal requirements.

Step 2.

  1. You will choose at least 3 different ad mediums in which to promote the job vacancy.
  2. You will write a one-page summary (maximum 500 words) that explains your rationale for each medium.
  3. Social networking, if you choose this option, will be one medium. You must choose two others (job fairs, print ads, etc.)
  4. Be sure to include different theories learned in the course, as well as personal experience, to support your arguments. The final submission should not be more than 3 pages (not including the cover page, table of contents and reference page).

Final Submission

  1. Your report should be between 2 and 3 pages in length (not including the cover page, table of contents and reference page).
  2. It will be marked out of 10 based on the rubric below.
  3. Your assignment is to be submitted in MS WORD format. It should be submitted with the following guidelines:
    1. Include a cover page with the course code and course name, the assignment number, the title of your assignment, your student ID, your name, the instructor’s name, and the date the assignment is created.
    2. The first page of your assignment is a table of contents noting the sections of your report.
    3. Font should be either Calibri or Arial, 11pt or 12pt – double spaced.
    4. You must cite all your sources of information using APA formatting.
    5. Create a separate reference page that lists all of your sources that you have cited in text. Sources include software used.
