Select a company that is listed at the Australian Securities Exchange (see asx.com.au) or Colombo Stock Exchange (see www.cse.lk). Describe the international-level strategy (i.e. global, multi-domestic or transational strategy) that is being used by this company or one of its divisions. Discuss whether you believe it is the right strategy given the environment the company or division is operating in.
Find a recent example (after 2018) of a merger/acquisition in either the Australian context or Sri Lankan context.
Discuss how this merger/acquisition is or is supposed to generate strategic value for the involved companies. In your discussion use concepts/frameworks/tools from this week’s workshop and/or book chapter.
