Project Assessment Task 1

Outline the techniques that you will use to develop your organizational values.

The answers must include:

The student can either work on the case study Bayside Call Centre or can work on the organization they are working in.

  1. Establish a vision, mission and or values.
  2. Adopt criteria for effective vision, mission and value statements.
  3. Develop one or more draft statements.
  4. Judge initial drafts against criteria and suggest revision or new options.
  5. Develop second drafts.
  6. Summaries feedback and distribute second drafts and summary to writing group.
  7. Propose a draft mission statement.
  8. Present the proposed mission statement for board approval.

The learner must include the need for consultation and there must be a process

Case Study/Practical Demonstration Assessment Task 2

Case Study:

As part of this assessment you are required to access the simulated business of Bayside Call Centre and your role will be that of the CEO.

For the purpose of this Case Study your Trainer will act as a member of the Board of Directors of Bayside Call Centre. You can access this member to clarify any of the tasks or information provided to complete the Case Study.

As the CEO of Bayside Call Centre you are required to prepare the Strategic Plan for the next three-year period.

Part A- Case Study Analysis

Student is required to develop a strategic plan for Bayside call center with respect to the following points. The plan must address the below points:

  1. Background and research relevant to the plan (Environmental scan)
  2. Legislation, regulations and codes of practice, including the intellectual property that must be considered for your strategic plan
  3. Objective, strategies and priorities
  4. Roles and responsibilities
  5. Performance indicators
  6. Timeframes
  7. Consideration of co-operative ventures
  8. Cost-benefit and risk analysis
  9. What experts you would consult and why
  10. How you will monitor and evaluate the implementation of the plan and make refinements as appropriate
  11. How you will review the effectiveness of planning process and identify opportunities for improvement
  12. SWOT and PESTLE must be included in the plan

Part B – Practical Demonstration

Student must demonstrate the plan to the board of directors and hence they should prepare a presentation on the strategies. Student must demonstrate how these strategies will benefit the organization.

The trainer will complete an observation checklist and it will form part of the evidence gathered for this unit.

Report Study Assessment Task 3

With respect to the strategic plan created in the above task, the student must provide strategies to do the following:

  1. Communication plan
  2. Role management
  3. Monitoring progress and implementation plan
  4. Evaluation strategies to achieve objectives.
  5. Refinements to the plan
  6. Review effectiveness of the plan for continuous improvement and planning.

The student should record the strategies in a report format.
