Assignment:

As we are living through one of the greatest global upheavals since WWII, and one which is devastating manufacturing and supply chains throughout the whole world, this assignment should give you the time to look closely at a supply chain which you find interesting and how the coronavirus is impacting it now. This also give us an opportunity to think about risk management, something which companies already rushed to implement after the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami disaster which brought many supply chains screeching to a halt. Please work with your group to select an appropriate supply chain: one which can be discussed comprehensively within the specifications of this assignment.

Q1. Present a clear overview of specific supply chain for the computer and phone manufacturer, Apple. This should include relevant information (such as supply and demand locations, shipping methods, outsourcing situations, customer distribution channels, etc.).  [max 2 pages]

Q2. Based on information from the internet or other publicly available information, describe the nature of the disruption that COVID-19 is having on this supply chain.  Be as specific as possible, listing exactly 3 disruptions [at least 1 page each]

Q3. What tactical steps could Apple take now to mitigate each of the 3 disruptions? Make sure that your reasoning is sound and backed up with facts [1page per disruption]

Q4. What long term changes could be made within Apple to increase long-term resiliency for this supply chain? [1-2 pages, you can be more general here]
