Economic Growth Analysis – South Korea

Write a report on the economic drivers and economic challengers of South Korean economic, from the period 2015 to 2020 (the present day). (Growth drivers are the factors which cause economic growth; growth challengers are those which inhibit it.)
There are three key things you need to do.

1. Collect the growth data on South Korea, from the world bank databank for the period 2015 to 2019, Date on the first two quarters of 2020 can be obtained from Trading Economic Website. Present the data in a column chart and analyze it appropriately.
2. Explain three growth drivers and three growth challengers, using theory and evidence as appropriate.
3. Make three policy recommendations for the government.

Structure:

1. Introduction (100 words or so)
2. Background (100 words or so, touching on the period prior to 2015)
3. Data Analysis (100 words or so), identifying general trends. The collected data should be presented in Excel, and placed in the main body or in an appendix.
4. Performance analysis (800 to 850 words) – Offer clear explanations of three drivers and three challengers, using theory and evidence pertaining to the periods covered.
5. Conclusion of the foregoing analysis, 100 to 150 words.
6. Three policy recommendations to help the government. Support economic growth, or to cope with economic challenges discussed. 150 words or so.

In offering an analysis, you should use 6 newspaper or journal articles or reports which offer information on the economy of South Korea. Use reputable sources, e.g. ones published by reputable newspapers or organizations such as UN, IMF, etc.
