Overview

The Final Project: Presentation Assignment for EDUC 380 is an assignment that you will submit based on the topic discussed in your Final Project: Proposal Assignment. You should not deviate from your Final Project: Proposal Assignment once it has been approved without first discussing it with your course instructor. The Final Project: Presentation Assignment does not require you to actually present in front of an audience, but you should create it with the intention of one day having the opportunity to present this to a group of administrators and teachers in a PLC or Faculty Meeting. The Final Project: Presentation Assignment should be something that after viewing, teachers and administrators are able to improve on something in their current classroom. For example, if your Final Project: Presentation Assignment topic is “12 Ways to Create Engaging History Lessons for Middle School Students” then your Final Project: Presentation Assignment should provide them with new, creative ways they can create engaging history lessons for their middle school students. Your information should be relevant, creative, and exciting to make an impact on your audience.

Instructions

The Final Project: Presentation Assignment is a research-based assignment, which means that you will need to infuse various educational materials. In order to do well on this important Final Project: Presentation Assignment, you will need to:

  • Choose a format to present this information, which can be a YouTube video, iMovie, Adobe Spark Presentation, PowerPoint, Prezi etc. (which should have been stated in the Final Project: Proposal Assignment).
  • Include a minimum of 15 slides for visual presentations (PowerPoint, Adobe Spark Presentations, etc.) and a minimum of 5 minutes for audio presentations (iMovie, YouTube videos, etc.)
    • A Title slide and Reference slide should be included in all presentations and not included in total slide count or in time of total audio presentation. For example, if you choose PowerPoint as your format, the Title slide and Reference slide should not be included in the 15-slide total minimum requirement.
    • The Title slide should include the name of your Final Project: Presentation Assignment (for example, “12 Ways to Create Engaging History Lessons for Middle School Students”), your first and last name, Liberty University, course number (EDUC 380) and date your Final Project: Presentation Assignment is submitted
  • While you are to choose the format for the Final Project: Presentation Assignment, current APA format should be adhered to for in-text citations and on the Reference slide.
  • Include at least 1 in-text citation for each source included.
  • Include a minimum of three scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journal articles or textbooks published within the last 5 years to help support your points in your presentation.
  • In addition to the research you find to support your topic, you must also incorporate both the Conceptual Framework and SCRIP in your Final Project: Presentation Assignment. When you are reflecting on and explaining how the Conceptual Framework and SCRIP are included in your Final Project: Presentation Assignment, each component should be in bold text so that the components stick out in the presentation. For example, when you reflect on Social Responsibility, it should be listed as Social Responsibility on the slide.

For example, you may not use your classroom management plan or any other assignment that you submitted for course credit. This is considered self-plagiarism. Notice that the Title slide includes all required information, all SCRIP dispositions are reflected on and each disposition is in bold text, sources are cited using current APA format and all sources are listed on the Reference slide. The Final Project: Presentation Example includes information below the slide in the Notes section. This is recommended so that the audience is not overwhelmed with text on each slide, but it is not required to use the Notes section.
