The supply chain within amazon involves elements that involve inventory management, delivering items, pricing and warehousing products. Amazon supply chain work by ensuring the products are available as the company offers its sellers with options for them to sell more. First they merchants fulfill by taking care of the products by storing them and shipping them to customers. Second option is where orders received are fulfilled by amazon and shipped by their fulfillment centers. The fulfillment follows this order, first order is received, pulled, fulfilled and shipped to customer (Lana, 2022).
- How has Amazon’s supply chain given it a competitive advantage?
Amazons supply chain have given it a competitive advantage by having an ability to fulfill an order within the same day. Amazon also manages and ships own stock and also inventories from other companies.

The additional research for consulting team to gather and research is what cases all types of problems within amazon. They should also research on injuries within the operational team and find ways in which they can minimize them.
- In the exercise, what process should the consulting team recommend for solving the internal risks to the supply chain and mitigating the conflict between labor and senior management?
The process the consulting team should recommend is to unionize workforce operations. They can also use the collective bargaining agreement to improve the employees living and working conditions by reducing industrial action incidence by introducing mechanisms to resolve any labor disputes when they arise.
