Student will choose an area of interest within the discipline of Human Services and Community Leadership.
Below are the requirements for the paper:
- Employment Opportunities
- Current issues and trends
What issues are currently in the news media or of concern to people in this social climate? How do those issues influence your choice of profession?
- The population with whom the students would be working (age, geographic area, socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity) use the census website for specific demographics/geographic information
- Typical beginning salary levels and salary levels with experience and further education
- Educational/Training requirements
Include continuing education
- Opinion of advantages and disadvantages of the chosen employment
Four sources are required.
- Use APA to cite within the paper and prepare reference list. There is no need for a title page or a running title.
- Must include information from 2 academic references (professional journals or books) dated 2009+
- Must include information gathered from an interview with a professional working in the field
- Must include one of the following sources of information: American Association of Family and
- Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) website, United States Department of Labor website, University States Census Bureau
