Intervention for Caregiver – Dementia Caregivers
Design an intervention or support program for caregivers. Your proposed intervention/program should be feasible, practical, and ethical. It should not simply mimic an existing intervention/program, although incorporating elements of successful existing interventions/programs is allowed. Describe the characteristics of your intervention/support program in thorough detail. Your description should include (but not be limited to) the following:
- The caregiver/care recipient population you’re targeting
- How the intervention/program would be conducted and accessed
- How often the intervention/program would be available
- Who would be in charge of providing the services
- How much the intervention/program would cost, and any funding sources (e.g., Medicare, grants) that would be used to develop or pay for it
- Why you believe your intervention/support program is necessary and likely to be effective
- How the effectiveness of the intervention/support program would be evaluated
History
In a few sentences, describe a way that a past historical event could inform your understanding of the recent event. Briefly describe a strategy for how you could be conscious of presentism (the use of modern values to interpret past events) in the study of those past events.
