Option 1: Origins of Modern Terrorism
An Article review evaluates the clarity, quality and originality of research, as well as its relevance and presentation. A good review carefully analyzes an article’s strengths and weaknesses before assessing its overall value. The purpose of the article review is to improve basic research skills and to allow students to become familiar with specific evaluation criteria for social science research and develop critical thinking skills.

- Introduction
- Methodology (research)
- Results
- Discussion
- Your concluding thoughts on the article as it pertains to the week’s topics and lessons
Think about the following questions to help you critique and engage with the article:
- What does the article set out to do?
- What is the theoretical framework or assumptions?
- Are the central concepts clearly defined?
- How adequate is the evidence?
- How does the article fit into the literature and field?
- Does it advance the knowledge of the subject?
- How clear is the author’s writing?
Your 3 to 4-page paper must use at least two outside academic sources, in addition to the textbook, and be formatted according to APA formatting. Requirements.
