Participate in Work Health and Safety Processes

First Assessment Plan for a Training and Assessment Pathway

Case Study

You are working for an RTO that has conducted some internal reviews and found that the current assessments for FBPWHS2001 – Participate in work health and safety processes are too generic in nature and will not meet the requirements of the unit for a new cohort that require upcoming assessment. You have been tasked with developing an assessment plan, amending the provided assessment instruments and mapping the tasks to rectify the situation.

The cohort that will be utilising these assessments is a small group of 5 workplace trainees undertaking the full qualification FBP20518 – Certificate II in Wine Industry Operations. They are learning all of their skills and knowledge on the job. They are employed in a wine cellar and the process of assessment is submitting paper based written work and practical observations using a visiting assessor that will come out to the workplace.

The process requires you to develop a suitable assessment plan in line with this cohort and their work-based environment. You are required to modify and contextualise the instruments to suit their needs as you address the benchmarks specified on Training.gov.au. for the unit. https://training.gov.au/Training/Details/FBPWHS2001

In addition to the above, one of the workplace trainees from the wine cellar whose name is Tom has flagged at his pre enrolment interview that he recently sustained an eye injury which is impairing his vision while he recovers. You must describe in each of the following assessments what reasonable adjustments you could potentially make for Tom.
