Project Communication Plan

Effective communication is an important aspect of any successful project (Project Management Institute, 2018). Through a good plan, the project manager can ensure effective communication throughout the lifetime of the project. (Project Management Institute, 2018) The following is a communication plan that defines the communication requirements of a project and how to distribute information among members. The plan is important because it ensures smooth and timely flow of important information to the relevant audiences of a project (Project Management Institute, 2018). Additionally, the plan details the person responsible for each type of communication, the frequency of communication, and the methods of delivering information to the right participants. During the lifetime of the project, it is important to hold several meetings designed to achieve specific purposes. For example, the kickoff meeting will be necessary to welcome all members of the project and ensure that they know each other and their respective roles (Project Management Institute, 2018).  Project team meetings are also necessary to enable the team members to discuss various aspect of the project during implementation. The project progress meetings should also be held on a regular basis to inform different stakeholders about the progress and implementation of the project (Project Management Institute, 2018). In this meeting, the project manager must address the implementation of the project, opportunities, and the challenges the project faces.
