Scientific Method: John Baumgardner

This paper is about limitations to the scientific method. While the scientific method is critical to understanding the natural world around us, it is not the only viable method for gaining new knowledge or understanding phenomena. Since “psychology” literally means, “the study of the soul”, we should not make the mistake of having a bias of ‘naturalism’ in our work. Other ways of knowing, such as the fields of logic and theology, are valuable in the study of the human psyche.
