Assignment Task

You have been hired by the organisers of Kebabingham as a Social Media Marketing Consultant to set up and maintain (for 4 weeks) 2 social media platforms to support the specific social media marketing aims of next year’s festival (February 2020). This must be supported by a “Rationale Report” explaining and justifying the reasons for the content ideas & maintenance of the social media platforms, including a content calendar.

Task Guidance

You are required to:

  1. Set up social media platforms, (minimum of 2), i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
  2. Populate the platform for a period of 4 weeks with relevant content, the platforms must be managed on a weekly basis. It is your decision as to how often you post, but you must justify your choice in the report.
  3. Produce a 1,500 word report, clearly justifying the ideas for the content including a ‘Content Calendar’ that charts the content posted.

REPORT

  • Introduction – set out clearly what the report will discuss.
  • Discuss the reasons for implementing the type of:
    • Social media channels chosen and implemented
    • Content ideas chosen
  • Discuss how you plan to manage the pages and include a ‘Content Calendar’ that charts the content posted
  • Discuss how the content you post will be effective in attracting visitors to the event
  • Analytics – are there any patterns identified in your engagement? What can you do with this information?
  • Conclusion – appropriate conclusion to sum up the report.
