Submission Details
Papers must be submitted to Turn It In on the subject LMS site as a Word (.doc or .docx) file only.
Assessment is to be submitted in 12 point Times New Roman font, at 1.5 line spacing, and paragraphs will be fully justified.
Submission is to be made on LMS by 8 pm on the due date.
Papers must show readings from all sources. Students must acknowledge the source of all articles used using the Harvard system. Refer to: http://www.latrobe.edu.au/learning/referencing.html for tips on acknowledgement, referencing and plagiarism. You must reference any material you use which is not your own. The La Trobe University Library’s online journals collection (see: http://www.lib.latrobe.edu.au/) are a necessary resource. Should another student’s work be copied, results for both assignments will be cancelled. If you deliberately or negligently give another student access to your work, or accounts, or computers containing work which is subsequently copied by that student, it will be assumed that you have assisted that student in producing and claiming work that is not their own. It is your responsibility to keep that your work secure. Please retain a copy of your assignment.

Description of Task
Choose a newspaper or magazine article (not a case study nor an academic journal article) that relates to one or more aspects of corporate governance and has been published in the last 2 months, and complete the following:
- Outline and summarize the arguments made in the article. (500 words)
- Discuss the corporate governance issues raised using corporate governance theories to illustrate the importance of these issues. (1500 words)
- Why are these issues of importance to business and the general public? (500 words)
- Conclude by providing your opinion about the corporate governance issues raised in the article. (500 words)

Marks will also be assigned to the quality of writing, paragraphing, structure and formatting, referencing.
Please include a scanned copy of the article as an Appendix. If this is not attached you will lose 5 marks.
