BSYS 2021 Project / Coursework; Assessment Brief, deadline tbc [ ~4000 Words]
This assessment is an individual project / portfolio. The assessment in BSYS is a Business Based Project involving one main portfolio submission and a number of specified Milestones and Questionnaires. All submissions should have your name and student ID in the actual submission. The overall project document *must* follow the same academic standard and instructions as any University of Portsmouth Project. Recommended word count excludes, figures, models, templates, references, appendix, Questionnaires and Milestones.
In BSYS Project submissions are not penalized if work is over the recommended word count [but be sensible].
Content of the main Project Submission
[a] Cover page: with your name, student id, name of business, module and degree you are studying.
[b] Templates: [from the Sociotechnical Toolbox] must be used; containing the following steps of your analysis, including relevant appendix with diagrams [Systems Diagrams, Mind Maps, Rich Pictures, Workflow Diagrams, etc.] as required and described in the templates:
- Step 1a. Change Analysis [MM & RP]
- Step 1b. Sustainability Analysis
- Step 1c. Activity Analysis
- Step 2f. Organizational Learning
- Step 3a. Horizontal / Logical Analysis [I/O and WFD; main / detailed / breakout]
- Step 7b. Key Variance Analysis [Matrix; main / detailed / breakout]
- Step 7e. IS and Cybersecurity overview
- Step 8c. Conclusion of Job Satisfaction Needs
- Step 14a. Implementation and Change Analysis
- Step 14c. Benefit Management Plan
[c] Appendix: with diagrams [should be numbered], each diagram should have a name and it should be explicitly stated which step any diagram belongs too. All diagrams must be readable in A4 size if printed in black and white. In each relevant template, reference must be made to the appropriate appendix.

Note: All milestones are compulsory; missing or inappropriate milestone could lead to failing the assessment and module. Late submission of milestones can influence the project management part of the mark overall [10%].
