Women Liberation in Developing Countries

Women Liberation in Developing Countries

Topic: Women’s rights movement for the liberation of women in developing countries.

This movement calls for all women to join in large numbers to fight for their rights. This movement started back in the 1960s by women when they were looking for liberation and feminism.
Research Question
What is the purpose of Women’s rights movement for the liberation of women in developing countries?
Problem Statement
The purpose of this movement is to ensure equity, especially in the employment sector and political positions, to all. Women’s campaign in developing countries aims to have women reach out to equal job opportunities as men.
Above is what I submitted last week, read the feedback from the professor to make adjustment and work also on Week Three Assignment – Research Proposal with Thesis Statement. The topic is still the same.
Feedback to Learner
This is a descent start, but, you will need not just an explorative question, but a research question; beyond what is the purpose of the movement. To get there, you will need to learn a lot more about “third world feminism” and women’s liberation movements (as opposed to rights/ focus on equity e.g. related to wages and formal employment alone). Suggest pick a country, but the way you have it is fine too.

Week Three Assignment – Research Proposal with Thesis Statement
Having submitted and received feedback on your week 2 topic assignment, it’s time to begin the research process.
Research Paper Proposal with Thesis Statement consists of a 2–3-page description of:

  • Research topic–What social movement are you researching? (Remember you are researching the movement, not the issue).
  • Your research question or Statement of the Problem–Why is this an important social movement? (Revise after studying selected sources from bibliography portion below).
  • Your thesis statement–Provide a draft of your thesis statement
