Cover Letter Using Star Approach
A cover letter is an important section on the job application. Potential employers will read your cover letter to see how well your strategies, knowledge and traits match the required job specification. The cover letter will fill in places your CV cannot describe and further elaborate on your CV. It may well be the aspect of your application that sets you apart from other candidates.
Using your Big Five Personality Insight psychometric report and the STAR approach, write a cover letter to demonstrate your suitability for a job advert. (400 words)
Please note: you must 1) find a job advert within your chosen career path and familiarise yourself with the requirement of the job (i.e. the personal specification); 2) submit the job personal specification in the appendix of your portfolio; 3) Use some of the key descriptive words/ information taken from your Big Five Personality Insight report to write your cover letter; and 4) select and use relevant examples and experiences to illustrate your strengths /strategies using the Star Approach.
